3. the zip file is not a zip file it is a .apk file which is meant to be uploaded to Google play. It is fully signed and ready launch.

If your computer downloads it as a zip file try changing the extension back to apk.

I realy love your plugin, but Im having one issue though.
When I get notification and zip file is attached, not all uploaded files are archived (this happens two times out of three). Error log doesnt show anything. Is this related to memory limit. Our wp-config.php shows 128M,

Any update on this? I should probably clarify the motivation of switching to ZIPs:

1) Indexing: Tars are not indexed and thus a big archive needs to be extracted completely, even if you only want one file out of it.
2) Filename and paths are very restricted in their length, so my backups are always missing some files.

ZIP64 support would eliminate both of these issues. In other software, ZIP64 support is very common, for example Windows supports the format since Vista. Additionally, I think it's very common for older blogs and online magazines to have more than 4 GB of media files in their CMS, which of course needs to be backed up.

I like the look of the buttons etc., but I can’t make it work with dropbox download links that lead to a ZIP archive in dropbox’ public folder. Would be great to get that solved.

unfortunately that is not possible, if I understood you correctly you want a file from your DropBox account the public is with the MeliBu WP Download Counter button below to download offer.

That's the extent not possible if the file is not on your webspace / server I can not affect you in MeliBu WP Download Counter button a file is especially the programmed by myself and thus offer your files for download.

But I'll get in the next time with DropBox connected and when DropBox agrees I could so programmed that you can set whether the file is outside your web space / server, which is then the file obtained from outside and on your webspace / server offering for download.

So in other words, DropBox must agree, because I simply can not access someone else's (in this case, DropBox) Webspace / Server, then you could implement it. However, I am assuming that DropBox not refuse would if there is enough interess.

I have a friend who had a wordpress and wanted to change domain/hosting. Before it expires he downloaded by FTP all files and made a DataBase backup.

Now, he doesnt know how to make it work again and asked me for some help, but I can't make it work neither...

As I've said, I have a .zip with all FTP wordpress files (suposed) and a .sql backup of the database.

So to restore it I've done this:
· Create a database on the new hosting and import the .sql
· Uncompress and upload all folders/files of the .zip
· Link wp-config.php with the new database name and password

So what I get is a "working" website which theme and design is not working as expected and special characters neither (spanish language).

If I enter /wp-admin I see lots of errors like " * is deprecated, use * instead" etc...

I am missing something? Maybe ha hasnt copied correctly?

If the domain or directory of the site is anything different from what it was before, you'll need to change the siteurl and home values in the database: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database

I have same problem for the same reasons. I'm not finding an answer to the 4GB limit in ZipArchive class, a split feature is needed.

we've spoked some times ago about your maps plugin. I realy like wpadverts and like to buy the maps addon. But I need a search with postal/zip and radius. The radius could be a static value like 30km for example. Is this possible with some hacks and could you help me with it or do you have implemented such funcionality this time?

Hi, i investigated the radius search a bit, it seems i will need to update the Maps and Locations add-on first in order to make it possible to search by radius as radial query that would do this is rather complicated, i am not sure when this feature would become available in WPAdverts.
